General Conditions

REGISTRATION/EXTENSION:

Course registration or extension is established by signing the contract, partial or total payment of the invoice or by the learner or their legal representative sending the online registration form.

MINIMUM REGISTRATION:

• Individual and semi-private courses = 10h00
• Immersion courses = 1 week
• Micro-Group STANDARD and WEBCLASS = 16 weeks (8 weeks if only 1 participant)
• Micro-Group INTENSIVE = 1 week
• PACKS = depending on the level and type of course chosen (fixed term)
• iOL = 1 month

PACKS DIPLOMA:

PLUS FORMULAS FEATURES:

All the PLUS courses include working at least 50% on the Blended Learning iOL platform. Objectives can only be achieved by working individually and seriously and by putting in the number of hours indicated

For example a PACK PLUS B1 in a STANDARD Micro-Group, is an eight month course consisting of 1h30 per week with a trainer and at least 1h30 per week on the iOL platform

As Access to iOL is unlimited during the subscription period, we recommend you use it as much as possible in order to obtain the best possible progress.

REDUCTIONS:

Youth rates apply for all purchases made up to and including the day of the participant’s 18^th birthday.

Senior rates apply for all purchases made after and including the day of the participant’s 65^th birthday.

DURATION OF LESSONS:

A lesson lasts 60 minutes. A short coffee break can be included in this period.

LESSON VALIDITY:

The lessons must be taken within one year from the date of registration or extension. After this date, the balance expires and is neither usable nor refundable.

TERMS OF PAYMENT:

All fees are payable in advance (intensive courses Wednesday midday for the following week). Our invoices have a 30-day payment period. Payment by installments will incur an additional 15.- per payment for administrative costs.

GROUP COMPOSITION AND NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS:

Group formation is inlingua’s exclusive responsibility. We reserve the right to make the necessary modifications at any time to ensure the smooth running of the course. Cancellation or interruption of the training by the learner because of the composition or redesigning of a course and for any other reason whatsoever results in the loss of the learner’s remaining course balance.

inlingua Léman offers certain group courses on registration of a single participant. When a group has one participant from the beginning or suddenly changes to one participant, the number of consecutive courses are adapted as follows:

Tailor-made courses:
Micro-Group STANDARD and WEBCLASS
16 weeks (1h30 per week) from 2 to 4 participants, 8 weeks if 1 participant
Hours are doubled in the PLUS formula

Micro-Group INTENSIVE
1week (2h30 per day) from 2 to 4 participants, 1h30 per day if 1 participant
Hours are doubled in the PLUS formula

PACKS PLUS and DIPLOMA:
Only from 2 to 4 participants.

ABSENCES:

Any absence must be communicated exclusively to the school administration (office@inlingua-leman.ch).

Group courses: Missed courses cannot be reimbursed or replaced. This rule is also applicable in case of illness or any other reason not concerning the school.

Private Courses: Lessons cancelled before 19h00 the day before (18h00 Friday for Monday’s lessons) are not charged. Cancellations after these times(for any reason whatever, even circumstances beyond your control) are considered to be late and will be subject to loss of credit.

CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION BEFORE THE START OF THE COURSE:

All cancellations must be advised exclusively in writing to inlingua administration, this will be confirmed in writing within 5 working days.

• Up to 15 days before the beginning of the course: 10% of the tuition fee is payable to the school.
• From 14 days to 8 days before the beginning of the course: 30% of the total amount is payable to the school.
• From 7 à 0 days before the beginning of the course: Invoiced at 100%.

CONDITIONS OF CANCELLATION AFTER THE BEGINNING OF THE COURSE:

Group Courses: May not be cancelled or interrupted. All courses begun must be paid in their entirety. Missed lessons cannot be refunded or replaced.

Private Courses: In case of force majeure, a learner can either sell their remaining courses to a third party, ask for an extension of the period of validity of their subscription or transfer the remaining credit to any inlingua Language Centre in the world. In the absence of one of the 3 aforementioned solutions no refund is possible.

OPENING HOURS:

Courses can be taken from Monday to Friday from 7h30-21h30. Outside these hours courses may be possible but not guaranteed.

Group Courses: Schedules are planned and fixed by inlingua administration. They cannot be modified by the trainer or participants during the session.

Private Courses: The first course is scheduled by inlingua administration. Subsequent lessons can be agreed by the learner directly with the trainer during the lesson or exclusively with administration if the schedule cannot be agreed at that time. The school accepts no liability for errors or their consequences arising from non-compliance with this rule.

inlingua is only closed on public holidays and between Christmas and New Year. No courses are given at this time. Lessons normally held on these days are automatically deferred so there is no loss of credit for the client. Classes for groups and individuals are also held during school holidays.

EXTENTIONS:

Face-to-face courses: Administration will get in touch with clients at the end of their course, generally 3 courses before the end of the contract. The only exception is Intensive courses which are renewable at reception by the participant by 12h00, Thursday at the latest for the following week.

Distance Learning courses: Without extension by the client, at least 3 days before the end of the contract , the subscription will be closed automatically and all data on the platform will be permanently erased.

TRAINER:

inlingua reserves the right to temporarily or permanently substitute the trainer if necessary. The client cannot claim any compensation following a change of trainer.

Courses cancelled in case of illness or other impediments of the trainer are never invoiced and can be caught up at a later date.

It is strictly forbidden to use a language trainer or ex-language trainer (with or without a fee) outside inlingua courses. Failure to comply with this clause will be sanctioned with a penalty of CHF 5’000 per instance.

THEFT:

You should never leave your belongings unattended. inlingua declines any responsibility for objects lost or stolen on its premises or during courses held in other locations by its trainers.

COMPLAINTS AND PROBLEMS:

Reception is available to discuss any problems or complaints you may have.

APPLICABLE LAW:

Any legal relationship between clients and inlingua Sion are subject to Swiss law. If irreconcilable differences arise and legal steps are taken Sion will be the competent place of jurisdiction.
